4 Reasons why CAMO is an ideal solution for aircraft owners and operators
I've been managing Air Service Basel's Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) department for almost a year. I thought I'd let you know why a CAMO program could be a good option for you.
What is CAMO?
The task of a certified “Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation” (CAMO) is fundamentally to keep a client’s aircraft airworthy. This includes the management of all inspections and paperwork that meet the EASA regulations. As an aircraft owner or operator, the advantages of using a CAMO programs are endless.
At Air Service Basel our program is designed to fit your needs. We design a custom schedule that covers all of the services your aircraft needs including aircraft monitoring, annual inspections, technical reviews, parts and engine condition reviews and modification suggestions to keep the aircraft in its safest and most flyable condition.
1. All the admin taken care of, so you don’t have to worry about anything but flying
CAMO programs are created to ensure that all the administrative tasks that come with ownership are handled – we work closely with the pilots and operators and are happy to assist any issues or questions they have. So, your only concern is flight planning and operations.
2. We can come to you wherever you are to inspect your aircraft
We know that every Operator has specific needs and that's why we treat every aircraft individually. Also, if your business plans don’t cross paths with our headquarters you can schedule your inspections wherever is best for you. Our team is flexible and adaptable to suit your needs to make passing airworthy inspections as simple as possible.
3. Technical Log for all of your aircraft data
We work with CAMP but our CAMO team has built a unique data log system to keep track of all of your aircraft maintenance schedules and technical information about your aircraft including; component lifetime, avionics lists, wheels and tyre data. This system acts as a great stand-alone solution for non-complex aircraft.
The technical log includes colour-coded reminders to keep track of critical aircraft requirements and a search field component to locate important information quickly.
As part of our CAMO program at Air Service Basel you will receive this data log free of charge or as an external customer, you can request a data log for personal use with ad-hoc updates.
4. Create a combined Maintenance and CAMO package
Air Service Basel began as a maintenance provider in 1967, since then we’ve accumulated over 50 years of experience in maintenance, repairs, avionics and sheet metal services. Our maintenance and CAMO combined program take care of all your aircraft needs with minimal hassle keeping your aircraft approved, updated and most importantly, airworthy.
Another advantage of the company, and why I enjoy my job so much, is because we have personal contact with the owners, so if you have any problems, questions or concerns you can contact me directly and we’ll figure out a solution as soon as possible.
If you have any questions or want to find out more, get in touch, I'd be happy to hear from you.
